We have completed over 2,500 projects in the DFW Metroplex since inception, a majority of those for repeat clients. Our team is known for our ability to work under complicated circumstances without disrupting ongoing operations. We take a construction process that is often fraught with unpleasant surprises, anxiety and unknown costs and we deliver projects that are predictable, making the process smooth, seamless and enjoyable to the client.

History
There is a tradition of family-owned businesses dating back three generations when David and Karl’s grandfathers opened Earnest Brothers’ Shoe Store, an Oklahoma-based store chain. Earnest Brothers was known for providing a high-quality, personalized approach to service and for their entrepreneurial spirit, both of which have woven their way into the values of K2 Construction.
Second cousins Karl Kerr and David Danielson founded K2 in 2002 as a commercial general contractor serving clients ranging from local startups to global Fortune 100 companies. After decades of combined experience working for other DFW contractors, Karl and David set out on a mission to change the narrative of the construction industry. Today, following Karl’s retirement, David continues K2’s organic growth trajectory and remains committed to the same values he and Karl’s grandfathers instilled in them years ago.

Since our founding in 2002, we have remained committed to our core values of positivity, integrity and passion—a set of guidelines that defines how we strive to conduct business day-in and day-out. Our values were developed together as an organization, not by an agency or leadership board, and have made a lasting impact on who we are as a company.
