K2 Construction is having a good month. The Dallas-based contractor will facilitate three new corporate relocations in Downtown Dallas, helping prove our point that Downtown is sexy again. These occupancies will help equal out recent reports that Uptown is smoking Downtown in office fundamentals.
After a recent acquisition by ACE Group, Chubb Insurance will relocate in Bryan Tower from the 33rd and 34th floors to the 3rd, 35th and 36th floors. K2 and Moran & Murphy Architects will build 90k SF of office space with Spire Realty’s Sam Williamson as the construction manager.
Compass Professional Healthcare Services leased 60k SF on the 57th and 58th floors in the Bank of America Plaza. Interior Architects will design the space, and Peloton’s Darrell Payne and CBRE’s Kris Hopson serve as construction managers.
After first announcing the relocation last month, El Centro College, an affiliate of Dallas County Community College District, leased 57k SF on the 10th and 11th floors of One Main Place (above). Stream, KFK Group, ENTOS Design and K2 will work together to bring the space to fruition. KFK Group’s Bill Boyle serves as construction manager. KFK is no stranger to renovations at One Main Place; its additional renovations will debut later this year.
